Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Prep Studio collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or contact us. We are committed to transparency and to your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

Prep Studio ("we", "us", or "our") is a women-led visual effects studio. Our website is located at prepstudio.in. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

What data we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it to us. The data we may collect includes:

Contact and enquiry data — When you submit our "Get a Quote" form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you write. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not used for marketing without your explicit consent.

Careers application data — When you submit a reel or application via our Careers page, we collect your name, email address, and any information you include in your message. This data is used to evaluate your application.

Technical data — Our hosting infrastructure may automatically log standard server data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and performance monitoring and is not linked to your identity.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of your submission, or until the enquiry is resolved, whichever comes first. Careers application data is retained for up to 6 months. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our website and delivering our services — for example, our email delivery provider. All such providers are bound by data processing agreements and are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with GDPR.

We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

International data transfers

Prep Studio is based in India. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, your data may be transferred to and processed in India or other countries outside the EEA. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to rectification — You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

Right to erasure — You may ask us to delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.

Right to restrict processing — You may ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.

Right to data portability — You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to object — You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
